• She was born in the Charan community and is believed to be the daughter of Mamadiya Gadhvi, a devout man who was childless until he received a boon from Lord Shiva.

• Khodiyar Maa and her six sisters and one brother were divine children who came to earth to help and protect the pious.

• She is known for miraculous interventions to protect the weak and punish injustice.

• One of her well-known acts was saving the Chudasama ruler of Junagadh, who later became her devotee.
